Over the weekend, South African DJ Ntombezinhle Jiyane, better known as DJ Zinhle, shared a special moment on Instagram as she celebrated her daughter’s third birthday.
Sunday, September 8, marked a joyful milestone for DJ Zinhle and her partner, Murdah Bongz, as they toasted to their little girl’s special day.
Asante Turns Three
Their daughter, Asante, turned three years old, and both DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz took to social media to commemorate the occasion.
The couple welcomed Asante into their lives in 2021, and the milestone birthday was a perfect opportunity for them to express their love and joy.
DJ Zinhle couldn’t contain her excitement and shared a heartfelt message about her daughter.
“Happy birthday to our family’s superstar,” she wrote.
“You’re the cutest and most entertaining baby.
Watching you grow has been an incredible blessing.
I adore you so much, sweet Saint.
I can’t believe you’re already three—where has the time gone?”
Murdah Bongz also took a moment to honor his daughter with a touching post.
“All my life’s problems have just one simple solution, a hug from my daughter.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASANTE,” he shared.
Kairo Forbes Sends Birthday Wishes
Asante is the second child for both DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz, each having children from previous relationships.
DJ Zinhle’s nine-year-old daughter, Kairo Forbes, was born during her relationship with the late rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, known as AKA.
DJ Zinhle and AKA’s relationship was publicly confirmed in 2014, though they had been rumored to be together since 2012.
Their relationship faced challenges, including accusations of infidelity and a breakup in 2015.
Despite these hurdles, DJ Zinhle and AKA welcomed Kairo Forbes in July 2015.
Sadly, AKA was shot and killed in February 2023, while standing outside Wish Restaurant in Durban.
Kairo Forbes also marked her sister’s birthday with a sweet Instagram post: “Happy 3rd birthday Sante! I love you!”
Meanwhile, Murdah Bongz has a child with Lerato Motsao, though details about this child remain private.
