…By Lola Smith for TDPel Media. Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink and the convener of the #EndSARS movement in Nigeria, has offered advice to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He urges Tinubu not to allow former state governors to comprise a significant portion of his cabinet.
Segalink believes that the president would be more successful if he surrounds himself with accomplished technocrats instead.
In a tweet, Segalink stated, “HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu MUST avoid the temptation to allow his cabinet to be dominated by former Governors.
He is better off with technocrats of repute than positioning himself for failure. Ministerial positions shouldn’t be the retirement plan of any politician.”
Speculations on Secretary to the Government of Federation Appointment
Rumors have been circulating regarding President Tinubu’s intention to appoint Senator George Akume, the immediate-past Minister of Special Duties and a former Governor of Benue State, as the new Secretary to the Government of Federation (SGF).

According to Western Post, Tinubu has chosen Senator Akume, a longtime ally, for the prominent position.
The official announcement of Akume’s appointment, along with other personal aides of the President, is expected to take place between Friday and Monday of the following week.

This discontent arises amidst speculations surrounding the appointments of President Tinubu’s personal aides since his inauguration as the 16th President of Nigeria.
Denial of Chief of Staff Appointment
In response to recent reports, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has denied being appointed as the Chief of Staff to the President.
