A harrowing story has emerged from Poland about a woman who endured unspeakable abuse for over four years.
The 30-year-old victim, identified only as Malgorzata, was held captive and subjected to horrific treatment by a man she met online.
Her abductor, Mateusz J, had lured her to a remote village under false pretenses, only to imprison her in a decrepit barn.
Abduction and Abuse
Malgorzata met Mateusz in 2019 through a dating site, and what began as a seemingly innocent connection turned into a nightmare.
She was confined in a disused animal barn, where she faced regular beatings, rape, and psychological torment.
Reports from Polish media outlet Fakt reveal that she was frequently hospitalized due to injuries sustained during her captivity, including a broken arm and leg.
A Cry for Help
Her ordeal came to light last week when she was hospitalized again, this time for a dislocated shoulder.
At this point, she managed to alert medical staff about her situation, prompting them to contact the police.
Malgorzata disclosed that her injuries were a result of failing to meet Mateusz’s demands, and she also revealed that she had been forced to give up a child born from her abductor.
Life in Isolation
During her captivity, Malgorzata was denied basic necessities such as hygiene products, running water, and even a toilet.
She was kept in isolation, only brought outside at night while her eyes were covered.
Mateusz also subjected her to regular cold-water dousing as a form of punishment.

Locals describe Mateusz as a “loner” and “freak,” and the case has drawn comparisons to Austria’s infamous Josef Fritzl case.
