Authorities are on the lookout for a teenage suspect following a troubling incident at a local playground.
A woman was reportedly attacked while at Toddler’s Cove, a children’s playground located near Whitehall Road in Canterbury, Kent.
What Happened
Around 9:30 PM on Friday, the woman was approached by four men, according to police reports.
After some conversation, three of the men left the scene, leaving one behind.
Tragically, this individual then assaulted the woman, leading to an urgent police response.
Description of the Suspect
Detectives have provided a description of the main suspect, describing him as a young white male, likely of Eastern European descent, and approximately 18 or 19 years old.
Witnesses noted that he had distinctive tight black hair covering his ears and was wearing a white tracksuit, complete with a small white bag slung around his waist.
The Accompanying Group
While the focus is on the main suspect, it’s important to note that two of the men with him were also white and appeared to be of a similar age.
The fourth individual in the group had darker skin and was dressed in a green fleece and black trousers.
Call for Information
Kent Police are actively investigating the incident, conducting forensic analysis at the playground and reviewing nearby CCTV footage.
They are reaching out to the public for assistance, urging anyone with information to come forward.
This includes motorists with dash-cams who might have been in the area at the time, as well as local businesses and residents with doorbell cameras or other surveillance systems.
