Pitso Mosimane, one of Africa’s most respected coaches, has stepped into a new role at Esteghlal Khuzestan FC, an Iranian football club, after being away from coaching for five months.
The South African coach, often referred to as “Jingles,” left Saudi Arabia’s Abha FC in May and is now looking to revitalize Esteghlal, who have been struggling this season.

The Iranian club made it official on Friday, announcing that Mosimane signed a one-year deal.
Known for bringing his own technical team wherever he goes, he aims to turn things around at Esteghlal, who are currently 10th in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
With just nine points from their first eight matches, the team is in need of a strong leader to push them toward better results.
The Big Challenge: Facing Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr
In his very first game as coach, Mosimane will come face-to-face with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr FC in the AFC Champions League.
