In a disturbing incident in Jos, Plateau State, a commercial bus driver met a tragic end when he was brutally beaten to death by a group of suspected hoodlums believed to be motorcycle riders.

The victim, identified as Mr. Fwinbe Thomas, who was reportedly in his early 30s, was driving his car on his way home when an unfortunate incident occurred.
He inadvertently brushed against a motorcycle rider at the Tudun Wada Park area of Jos North Local Government Area and continued driving. This seemingly minor incident triggered a chain of events.
Chase and Accusations
Other commercial motorcycle riders in the vicinity began chasing after Mr. Thomas, accusing him of theft. Despite his attempts to leave the scene, he found himself pursued by the angry mob of riders.
Fatal Attack and Appeal for Mercy
The tragic culmination of this pursuit occurred on Domkat Bali Way in Jos South Local Government Area.
The mob caught up with Mr. Thomas, attacked him with heavy stones, forcibly removed him from his vehicle, and subjected him to a fatal beating. Shockingly, appeals for mercy from onlookers within the vicinity went unanswered.

The Plateau State Police Command has officially confirmed this horrifying incident.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Okoro Julius Alawari, released a statement through the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Alfred Alabo, verifying the details of the tragedy.

The police investigation revealed that Mr. Thomas was found lying in a pool of his own blood along Tudun Wada Ring Road, Hwolshe, in Jos.
The police condemned this unlawful killing and indicated that the victim had suffered fatal injuries at the hands of the suspected hoodlums, believed to be commercial motorcyclists.
