Disapproval of Unauthorized Body Movement
Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Afrobeat singer Mohbad, has expressed his disapproval of the decision to move his son’s body for a befitting burial without proper authorization.
This comes after some celebrities, including Tonto Dikeh and Bella Shmurda, initiated efforts to withdraw the late singer’s body from the mortuary for a more fitting farewell.
Concerns Raised After Police Investigation
The notion to move Mohbad’s body gained momentum two months after the police exhumed the late singer’s remains for investigation purposes.
Reacting to this, Mohbad’s father condemned such moves and insisted that any decision regarding his son’s body should have his explicit authorization, emphasizing his right as the father.
Emphasis on DNA Test for Paternity Confirmation
Mr. Aloba further stressed the need to conduct a DNA test on his late son’s body to confirm the paternity of Liam Light, Mohbad’s only son.
In his statement, he expressed concern about rumors surrounding the potential movement of Mohbad’s body and urged that justice for Mohbad should be prioritized before any burial arrangements. The DNA test, according to him, is a necessary step in the process.
Father’s Call for Justice and Authorization
In a firm declaration, Mohbad’s father emphasized his role in authorizing any actions related to his son’s body. He urged that justice for Mohbad should take precedence before burial proceedings.
The video accompanying his statement captures the intensity of his message and his insistence on following the proper legal procedures, particularly the DNA test, to address any uncertainties surrounding the paternity of his late son, Liam Light.
