NDDC Provides Flood Relief in Bayelsa State
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has taken a step towards alleviating the impact of floods by distributing relief items to eight local government districts in Bayelsa State.

During the distribution of these relief supplies in Yenagoa, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the NDDC’s Managing Director, emphasized the agency’s commitment to addressing the recurring issue of flooding across various communities in Bayelsa.

Under the guidance of Godknows Alamieyeseigha and Dr. Week Doodei, directors at the Bayelsa State Office and NDDC’s Procurement, respectively, the agency provided these palliatives to representatives of different communities to aid them in addressing their flood-related challenges.

Dr. Ogbuku empathized with the flood victims, emphasizing the irreplaceable losses they faced. He assured the community of the NDDC’s comprehensive programs aimed at benefiting the Niger Delta’s residents, emphasizing the agency’s role in social services beyond physical infrastructure development.
Ensuring Proper Allocation and Distribution
Warning against hoarding or diverting the relief supplies, the NDDC head urged community leaders to ensure equitable distribution to the most vulnerable individuals within their areas.
Logistics and Distribution
Following inspections and loading of relief supplies into vehicles, representatives from the NDDC instructed community leaders to oversee the transportation of these supplies to various districts and localities, ensuring their timely and efficient delivery to affected communities.
