Jamila Ibrahim, the Minister of Youth Development, has offered assurance to Nigerians that the administration led by Tinubu is diligently working to implement measures to address the significant emigration of youths from the country.
This declaration came on Friday during a youth engagement event named the ‘Youth Agenda Summit,’ under the theme ‘Actioning the Nigeria We Want,’ organized by ILEAD AFRICA.
Represented by Oyekan Adedoyin, an Assistant Director in the Ministry, the Minister encouraged young people to embrace innovation and actively contribute to the nation’s development.
She stressed that young individuals are full-fledged citizens of Nigeria and should actively participate in the nation-building process. The government, on its part, is committed to creating a better framework for Nigeria and its people.
The Minister acknowledged the complexity of Nigeria and underscored the importance of youths’ involvement in the nation’s development. She highlighted that migration is a universal phenomenon, and even in Europe, people move in search of greener pastures.
However, the government is striving to establish a platform that encourages people to stay in the country. Innovative solutions are on the horizon to address this issue.
In conclusion, she urged everyone to seize this transformative moment, amplify the voices of the youth, engage in collaborative efforts, and ignite positive change as they embark on this journey of transformation.
