Local Group Accuses Governor Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State of Certificate Forgery

Allegations Against Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s Educational Credentials

Ondo State Redemption Initiative (OSRI), a social-political organization, raised serious concerns about the educational credentials of Hon.

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State.

In a statement released on Monday, the organization accused the governor of forging his diploma and deemed him unfit for public office.

False Educational Claims

OSRI, represented by Sunday Ayeni, the publicity secretary, Jide Oriola, the president, and Pastor Adebayo Ogunsanmi, presented evidence contradicting Aiyedatiwa’s educational claims.

The group contends that the governor’s resume, indicating graduation from the University of Ibadan in 2001 with an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, is inaccurate as the university did not offer such a credential that year.

Educational Background According to OSRI

The organization unveiled Aiyedatiwa’s academic records, revealing his educational journey from primary to tertiary institutions.

According to these records, he attended Saint Peter’s UNA (now FAC) Primary School in Obe Nla/Obe Adun, Ilaje Local Government Area (LGA), Ondo State, from 1970 to 1976, and completed secondary education in 1982 at Ikosi High School in Ketu, Lagos State.

Subsequently, he earned his Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Economics and Government in 1986 from Lagos State College of Education.

Discrepancies in Aiyedatiwa’s Claims

Aiyedatiwa’s assertion of graduating from the University of Ibadan in 2001 with an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration faces scrutiny.

Additionally, his claim of being a Lagos Business School – Pan Atlantic University graduate lacks specific details regarding the year and course.

The governor also stated obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool in 2013 and a Post Graduate Certification in Chief Executive Education (CEP) in Business Management.

Warning to APC Leaders

OSRI cautioned leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to endorse a candidate with questionable academic records, emphasizing the alleged falseness of Aiyedatiwa’s credentials.

Governor’s Response to Allegations

In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa dismissed the allegations as a plot orchestrated by individuals who had previously failed to impeach him during his tenure as Deputy Governor.

Through his chief press secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor asserted that these accusations were part of a larger strategy to discredit him ahead of the upcoming governorship election in the state.

Aiyedatiwa remains focused on fulfilling his promises to develop Ondo State and denounces the allegations as baseless distractions orchestrated by shameless politicians and their cronies.
