Scholarships for left-handed people are uncommon. Just 10 percent of people seem to prefer to use their left hand over their right.
However, left-handed college students may be eligible for a variety of additional awards. Students who are left-handed may have distinct brain wiring than those who are right-handed.
According to another study, left-handed people are more likely to suffer learning impairments. So, if you already have one, keep an eye out for new opportunities.
Can left-handed people get a scholarship?
To be a left-handed person does not preclude you from receiving government financial aid.
Scholarships for left-handed students are a type of financial aid that can help you pay for college tuition and other expenses.
You may also be qualified for a state or federal award (for example, the Federal Pell Grant) to help defray fees. Furthermore, unlike a student loan, you do not even have to repay a scholarship.
How to Apply For Left Handed Scholarships?
Trying to apply for these scholarships is similar to applying for any other form of scholarship. You must read and follow the instructions. Applicants who are eligible must also submit their applications on time.
When you’ve found a scholarship that appeals to you, check if you’re qualified to participate. Each scholarship specifies its own set of requirements.
One of these conditions could be being a left-handed person. You may also be required to demonstrate the financial necessity and a specific GPA.
