Strategic Focus on Ministry’s Renewed Hope Agenda
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), recently orchestrated a retreat for top management staff of the ministry and its affiliated agencies.
Held in Warri, Delta State, the retreat’s theme centered around ‘Delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda,’ aligning with the ministry’s strategic priorities.
Actionable Programs and Projects
Keyamo articulated the retreat’s purpose, emphasizing the need to disintegrate the 5-point priority agenda of the Ministry.
The objective is to translate these priorities into tangible and actionable programs and projects across all departments and agencies under the ministry’s jurisdiction.
Ministerial Retreat Success and Continued Engagement
Highlighting the successful ministerial retreat with the President the previous week, Keyamo shared insights into the ongoing engagement with the ministry’s top management.
Through this retreat, the minister aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of the ministry’s goals and ensure coordinated efforts towards their realization.
Flight Disruptions Warning and Sector Clarifications
Amidst the retreat, Keyamo issued a stern warning to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) against disrupting flight operations in the country.
He stressed the potential negative impact on both local and foreign individuals and urged stakeholders to distinguish between labour movement activities and political engagements.
Appeal for Non-Political Focus in Labour Movements
Addressing the recent incident involving the beating of NLC President Joe Ajaero in Imo State, Keyamo condemned the act.
He urged labour leaders not to intertwine politics with the pure objectives of the labour movement. The minister emphasized the need for stakeholders to discern between political activities and the core principles of the labour movement.
