Highbury FC Secures Thabiso Nkoana and Other Key Players for Upcoming Motsepe Foundation Championship Season in Eastern Cape

Highbury FC, freshly promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, is making waves with their latest acquisition: Thabiso Nkoana. The 31-year-old striker, who previously played for Venda FC, has joined the team as they prepare for their debut season in the championship.

It’s not just Nkoana who’s joining Highbury FC. The team has also signed several other players to bolster their squad.

Among the new faces are defender Lulama Maqoko, formerly with the University of Pretoria, and Masixole Nkewana, a former Casric Stars defender.

Dillon Goss, who previously played for Polokwane City FC, has also joined, along with Siseko Monama from Chippa United.

Coach Kabelo Sibiya Weighs In

Head coach Kabelo Sibiya confirmed the exciting additions, including Nkoana and Maqoko. “Yes, we’ve signed those two guys along with some other new players,” Sibiya told FARPost.

He highlighted Nkoana’s experience with SuperSport United and AmaTuks, and Maqoko’s recent stint in the promotion playoffs.

“We’ve brought in players with a solid background in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, including Dillon Goss from Polokwane City. We’re pleased with our new additions, but we know there’s still a lot of work ahead.

We’re currently playing friendlies, and these will give us a clearer picture of our team as we head into the new season.”
