The full autopsy report on Lucy-Bleu Knight, the stepdaughter of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, has just been released, providing more insight into her unfortunate death.
Discovery and Initial Findings
Lucy-Bleu Knight was discovered unresponsive on July 19 and was declared dead later that day at 3 p.m. local time.
The report follows an earlier statement from the Los Angeles County medical examiner.
They had previously determined that Knight’s death was due to hydrogen sulfide toxicity, with the manner of death classified as a suicide.
Details from the Full Autopsy Report
The newly released autopsy report offers additional details about Knight’s condition and the tragic circumstances surrounding her death.
It reveals a troubling note she left behind, intended as a warning for anyone who might find her.
Knight’s death resulted from inhaling hydrogen sulfide, a toxic gas that can occur naturally or be found in places like sewage treatment plants and oil refineries.
It can also be produced by mixing certain cleaning products.
Safety Precautions and Warning
The report highlights that Knight had taken precautions to warn first responders.
She left a note on a trash can, clearly visible when someone entered the home.
The note read: “CAUTION CALL HAZMAT IM SO SORRY H2S GAS TOXIC DONT ENTER,” indicating the danger of the toxic gas and advising against entry.
Additional Observations
Investigators found blue tape used to seal cracks around the door, light fixtures, electrical outlets, and ceiling air vents.
This precaution was likely intended to contain the gas within the home.
Knight had been staying at a short-term rental property, and her body was discovered only after the landlord, who had rented to her before, did not receive a response to their messages.
