Simon also left a message for her eldest son, Zane, telling him he was “so handsome, so sweet, so protective” and that she hoped he would grow up understanding loyalty and love.
When addressing Quinton, Simon said he was always happy, calling him the “middle child” who always smiled.
Her emotions spilled over as she spoke to her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Daniel Youngkin, expressing love for him despite the turmoil in their relationship.
The Final Hours and Arrest
Quinton was last seen alive by Youngkin on October 5, 2022, at around 6 a.m.
He reported seeing Quinton in his playpen.
Three hours later, Simon claimed she woke up to find her son missing and reported it to the police.
Authorities became suspicious, and within a week, Simon’s other two children were removed from her custody.
It wasn’t until November 21, weeks after Quinton’s body was found in a Savannah landfill, that Simon was arrested and charged.
