Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias has found himself caught in a personal controversy that has captured attention.
The talented Brazilian full-back, now playing in the Ukrainian Premier League with Shakhtar Donetsk, recently commemorated the birth of what he believed to be his daughter by getting a tattoo of her name on his arm.
However, this joyful moment quickly turned complicated when his ex-girlfriend revealed that the child is not his.

On October 8, Tobias’s ex-girlfriend, Ingrid Lima, welcomed a baby girl named Maite.
Despite their separation, Tobias seemed eager to embrace fatherhood, celebrating the occasion by tattooing Maite’s name along with “te amo”—which translates to “I love you” in Portuguese—on his arm.
This heartfelt gesture was meant to symbolize his affection for the child.
The Truth Unfolds
Lima recently took to Instagram to clarify the situation for her 103,000 followers, announcing that Tobias is not Maite’s biological father.
In her post, she explained that after their breakup, she started a relationship with another man, leading to a paternity test that confirmed Tobias was not the father.
“I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out publicly to give you an explanation,” Lima stated.
She further clarified, “Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while.
During that time, I was in a relationship with someone, and so was he. We both moved on with our lives.
In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.”
A Promising Career Ahead
At just 20 years old, Tobias has already faced significant challenges.
After the war in Ukraine disrupted his plans to play for Shakhtar Donetsk following his transfer from Brazilian club Internacional, he signed with Real Madrid’s academy.
