Fans on social media are ecstatic that Johnny Depp has won his ‘trial by TikTok.’

Fans of Johnny Depp erupted in joy on social media after the Pirates of the Caribbean star won his legal case against Amber Heard, and it was revealed that he also outsmarted his wife on social media.

Fans expressed relief that ‘justice had been served,’ and that Depp could now begin to rebuild his career and regain his ‘brand and reputation,’ while others quipped that it was ‘the day Amber Heard will always remember as the day she almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow.’

Meanwhile, TikTok videos with the hashtag #JusticeforJohnny and other variations have been viewed more than 19.8 billion times, whereas videos with the hashtag #JusticeforAmberHeard have only received 81 million views.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star gained overwhelming support on social media platforms including Twitter and TikTok while Amber Heard was vilified.

Fans were quick to joke they would be drinking ‘mega pints’ in celebration of the win for Depp and added they hoped the star would as well.

It was a reference to a moment in the trial when Heard’s attorney asked Depp if he had a ‘mega pint of red wine’ before he allegedly smashed up his kitchen.

Depp said he poured himself a ‘large glass of wine’ as he ‘thought it necessary’.

One fann said: ‘Hope Johnny Depp is knee deep in megapints.’

Meanwhile, Twitter user John added: MEGAPINTS are being drunk tonight in celebration.’

Although Heard claimed the outcome was a ‘setback’ for women who were victims of domestic violence, social media users ridiculed her further.

Many said this was not a ‘setback’ because it was only Heard they did not believe.

Others poked fun at Amber Heard’s ‘tears’ after the jury rubbished her claims.

Johnny Depp fans erupted in celebration after a jury awarded him $15million in damages from his ex-wife Amber Heard at the conclusion of their defamation trial.

The jury said both Heard and Depp defamed each other but that she was more guilty of defaming him.

Although Depp was found guilty on some counts and ordered to pay Heard $2million in damages, it was an obvious courtroom victory for the Captain Jack Sparrow actor.

The actor was awarded $10million in compensation and $5million in punitive damages.

Heard won just one of her three countersuit claims, which related to statements made by Depp’s lawyer suggesting she and friends had trashed their apartment before calling the police out.

She was awarded $2million in compensatory damages out of the $100million she was seeking in her countersuit against her ex-husband and received zero dollars in punitive damages.

The judge later reduced Depp’s $5million punitive damages award to the Virginia maximum of $350,000, reducing Depp’s total to $10,350,000 – minus the $2million he was ordered to pay Heard.

Depp walks away from the case with $8.35million.

Another said: ‘I was a DV [domestic violence] Victim. As a man, I thought No One Would believe me. I was too embarrassed of what anyone would think. I decided to keep it to myself.

‘This community helped me break through. Made me realize DV has No Gender. Today WE Celebrate.

‘#jonnydepp he spoke the truth. Thank you.’

While Heard left the courthouse looking dejected, Depp celebrated at a pub in Newcastle, Britain, with his tour buddy Jeff Beck and UK singer Sam Fender.

The hashtag #TruthWins also started trending after Depp won the case.

After the verdict, Heard said: ‘The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.

‘I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated.

‘It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously.

‘I believe Johnny’s attorneys succeeded in getting the jury to overlook the key issue of Freedom of Speech and ignore evidence that was so conclusive that we won in the UK.

‘I’m sad I lost this case. But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American – to speak freely and openly.’

Meanwhile, in a statement after Wednesday’s verdict, Depp said: ‘Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed.’And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.’
