In a significant development, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), had a meeting with his personal doctors at a hospital in Abuja.
This update was shared by Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, in a tweet on Sunday.
He disclosed that the meeting between Kanu and his chosen physician took place on Saturday, outside the premises of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Ejiofor further informed that he was present during the medical examination, which went smoothly and was productive.
He assured the public that the medical assessment would be progressing to the next stage in due course.
Kanu Opposes Southeast Sit-at-home Directive
Addressing another significant matter, Ejiofor clarified that Nnamdi Kanu does not support the sit-at-home order in the Southeast and has directed for it to be halted.
The IPOB leader has consistently made his stance on the sit-at-home known to the world.
To convey this important message and condemn criminal activities, Kanu’s legal team, led by Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, and the IPOB leadership, have been vocal across various media platforms.
The lawyer urged all IPOB members and the public to respect Kanu’s directive and refrain from engaging in unauthorized sit-at-home actions and its enforcement.
He emphasized that those attempting to keep Kanu captive and destroy the Southeast through such measures have failed and will face legal consequences.
This update sheds light on Nnamdi Kanu’s health condition, as well as his stance on the sit-at-home order, which has been a subject of concern and controversy in the region.
The meeting with his doctors may have implications for his ongoing legal matters and overall well-being.
