In a statement released on Thursday by the DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunaya, the agency emphasized its determination to prevent subversive elements from carrying out their sinister plans.

The DSS highlighted that those opposing the inauguration intend to undermine the efforts of security agencies in ensuring peaceful ceremonies while instilling panic and fear among the public.

To counter these subversive elements, the DSS called on citizens, the media, and Civil Society Organizations to strictly adhere to security and civil protocols during the events.

The DSS reiterated that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council had announced the activities for the presidential inauguration, including the swearing-in of the President and new Governors on May 29.
