NAFDAC said that the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) have banned the energy drink, which is produced by T&E Imports and GPAE Trading Corp.

NAFDAC Director-General, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, warned that the consumption of G Fuel Energy Drink could cause headaches, insomnia, irritability, and nervousness.
She also advised pregnant women against consuming the product, as it may lead to miscarriage and a lower birth weight.
