Disturbing Letter Reveals Ryan Wesley Routh’s Intent to Assassinate Donald Trump and His Offer of $150,000 for Help in West Palm Beach

A disturbing letter recently surfaced, shedding light on an attempt to assassinate former president Donald Trump.

Written by Ryan Wesley Routh, the note reveals a failed plot and offers a bounty for someone else to complete the mission.

The letter, obtained by the Department of Justice and DailyMail.com, highlights Routh’s failed attempt and his promise of $150,000 for anyone who could “finish the job.”

Routh’s message wasn’t just an admission of failure; it was a call to action.

“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you,” Routh wrote.

“I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job.”

He also criticized Trump for severing relations with Iran, blaming him for destabilizing the Middle East.

The Incident at Trump’s Golf Course

The attempted assassination took place on September 15 at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

According to a report by federal prosecutors, a Secret Service agent patrolling near the course noticed something unusual—a figure hiding in the brush.

That figure turned out to be Routh, armed with a rifle, lying in wait near the 6th hole while Trump played on the 5th.

Acting quickly, the agent fired a shot toward Routh and took cover behind a tree.

When the agent looked up again, Routh had disappeared.

Secret Service agents quickly escorted Trump off the golf course while a witness saw Routh fleeing the scene.

The witness captured photos of Routh’s vehicle, a black Nissan Xterra, and reported most of the license plate number to authorities.

Arrest and Disturbing Evidence

Routh was eventually arrested after police tracked down the Nissan.

Inside the vehicle, investigators found an array of troubling items: six cellphones, a list of Trump’s public appearances, and a Google search on how to escape to Mexico.

They also found 12 pairs of gloves, a Hawaiian driver’s license in Routh’s name, and a notebook filled with notes on Ukraine, China, and Russia.

Adding to the bizarre details, a witness came forward days after the arrest, stating that Routh had dropped off a box at their home months earlier.

Inside the box was another letter addressed to “The World,” echoing the same message: Routh had tried to kill Trump and was now offering a reward for anyone willing to finish what he started.

Upcoming Court Appearance

Routh is scheduled to appear in federal court for a detention hearing following the failed assassination attempt.

This case has drawn national attention not only for its brazen nature but also for the chilling mindset revealed in Routh’s letters.

It’s clear that his mission wasn’t just personal—he framed it as part of a broader fight, criticizing Trump’s leadership and encouraging others to step in where he had failed.

As the case unfolds, more details are expected to emerge about Routh’s motivations and how authorities ultimately foiled his plot.

For now, Trump remains unharmed, thanks to the quick actions of the Secret Service, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers political figures continue to face.
