That’s exactly what happened to hundreds of Bridgerton superfans who shelled out hundreds, even thousands of dollars, for a lavish event in Detroit on September 22.
What was promised to be an evening full of Regency-era charm quickly turned into a disaster, with comparisons being drawn to the infamous Fyre Festival.
High Expectations, Steep Prices
The event, organized by Uncle & Me LLC, promised fans a night of sophistication, featuring ballroom dancing, fine dining, and live orchestral music.
Tickets started at $150, but some eager fans spent upwards of $1,000 for a VIP experience that was supposed to include professional photos, a dance card, valet service, and an exclusive dinner.
Fans went all out, spending even more on lavish ballgowns and travel expenses to Detroit, only to be greeted by something far from what was advertised.
