In a surprising move, the Chicago Sky have parted ways with head coach Teresa Weatherspoon, just shy of a year after she took the reins of the Windy City’s WNBA team.
This decision comes as a shock to many, especially given Weatherspoon’s relatively brief time in the role.

Angel Reese, the Sky’s standout player, took to social media to express her deep disappointment over Weatherspoon’s dismissal.
In her heartfelt post, Reese shared that she was “heartbroken” by the news, emphasizing the significant impact Weatherspoon had on her life during a critical moment.

Weatherspoon, who was hired in October 2023, guided the team to a record of 13 wins and 27 losses, leaving them just outside of the WNBA playoffs.
