Britpop Legends Oasis Make Major Announcement About Non-Dynamic Ticket Pricing for Their Upcoming North American Concerts

Exciting news for Oasis fans! The legendary Britpop band, led by the famously feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, has just announced that their upcoming five shows in North America will not be using dynamic pricing for tickets.

This comes after the band faced significant backlash from fans during their recent tour when ticket prices skyrocketed, leaving many feeling frustrated and priced out.

Reactions to Ticket Pricing Controversy

When Oasis revealed their 2025 reunion tour, the cost of standard tickets jumped dramatically—from £148 to an eye-watering £355.

Ticketmaster explained that this surge was due to high demand, and while it was claimed that the band’s management was aware of the dynamic pricing policy, Oasis stated they were caught off guard by how it impacted fans.

With about 14 million fans experiencing marathon eight-hour queues just for a chance to buy tickets, many were left empty-handed.

A Promise to Fans

In a statement shared on social media, Oasis reassured their fans that they’re committed to preventing another fiasco.

The announcement read, “Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model will not be applied to the forthcoming sale of tickets to Oasis concerts in North America.”

They acknowledged that while dynamic pricing can help combat ticket scalping and keep some prices more affordable, it often backfires under extreme demand.

The band hopes that this decision will avoid the challenges fans in the UK and Ireland faced during their recent ticket sales.

Tour Details and Dates

Oasis is gearing up for a series of much-anticipated summer shows in August—marking their first tour since 2009.

Originally planned for the UK and Ireland, the tour has now expanded to include the United States and Canada.

Fans can look forward to shows in Toronto on August 24, Chicago on August 28, New Jersey on August 31, Los Angeles on September 6, and Mexico City on September 12.

The announcement on X (formerly Twitter) excitedly stated, “America is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”

Ticket Sales Information

Fans will have a chance to secure pre-sale tickets starting at 12:00 PM EST on October 3, with general sales kicking off the next day, October 4.

It’s worth noting that ticket access will be randomized through a ballot system, where registered applicants will answer questions about the band to proceed.

Celebrating 30 Years of Oasis

In addition to this exciting news, it’s a momentous year for Oasis as they celebrate 30 years since the release of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, which topped the UK charts earlier this month.

To mark this milestone, a deluxe edition of the album has been released.

Oasis also released two live records during their heyday, including Familiar To Millions in November 2000, just four months after they made their mark at Wembley, and Knebworth 1996, recorded across two shows in Hertfordshire and released in September 2021.

What’s next for the Gallagher brothers? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: the excitement surrounding Oasis is far from over!
