British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly detained in Brisbane and extradited to Perth as police launch an investigation into alleged sexual assault after his nightclub show

British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly has been taken into custody due to serious allegations of sexual assault.

The artist, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was arrested by sex assault detectives in Brisbane on a Tuesday and subsequently extradited to Perth the following day.

Allegations and Arrest Details

Yung Filly, 29, is accused of assaulting a woman in her twenties at a hotel in Perth on September 28, following a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in Hillarys, located in the northern part of Perth.

Just two days before his arrest, he had entertained fans at the Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast.

The charges against him are quite severe, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of applying pressure to another person’s neck, hindering their normal breathing or circulation.

He is set to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The Event That Preceded the Incident

The performance at Bar1 was heavily promoted, with organizers touting it as the “ultimate evening escapade.”

MoshTix described the event as a “seamless blend of spontaneity, humour, and music” that would leave attendees buzzing for weeks.

Unfortunately, the aftermath of this event has taken a dark turn, overshadowing what was meant to be an enjoyable night.

Yung Filly’s Rise to Fame

Yung Filly launched his YouTube channel back in 2013 and began sharing music in 2017.

One of his notable achievements includes collaborating with fellow British rapper Aitch on the track “Grey,” which garnered over 2.5 million views on YouTube and 10 million streams on Spotify.

Since then, he has hosted various shows on the BBC, such as “Hot Property” and “Yung Filly’s Celeb Lock-In,” and even made an appearance on Channel 4’s “The Great Celebrity Bake Off.”

Collaborations and Brand Partnerships

In addition to his music and television work, Yung Filly has teamed up with several fashion brands, including recent partnerships with ASOS and Perplex.

He has also collaborated with major companies like McDonald’s, British fashion retailer Primark, and Captain Morgan rum.

Despite his growing popularity and success, these recent legal troubles pose a significant challenge for the artist’s career and public image.
