According to authorities, 18-year-old Rachel Berg was driving a Chevrolet Corvette at over 155 mph when she rear-ended Clark’s motorcycle.

Despite Berg’s attempt at CPR, Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.

Laura Clark, Michael’s grieving widow, described him as a loving father, amazing husband, and dedicated public servant.

Having served in the Tacoma, Washington Police Department for 14 years, Michael transitioned to a park ranger role in Tempe, Arizona, after moving with Laura in their RV.

Laura lamented the senseless loss caused by speeding drivers.

“Young people sometimes think they’re invincible,” she said.

“Families are torn apart.”

She expressed the immense pain her family is enduring and the uncertainty of how they will move forward.
