Alice Evans Faces Backlash in Los Angeles Court After Photographing Ex-Husband Ioan Gruffudd in Violation of Court Rules During Hearing

Alice Evans sparked a commotion in a Los Angeles courtroom on Monday during a child support hearing involving her ex-husband, Ioan Gruffudd, known for his role in Fantastic Four.

The British-American actress, 56, found herself in hot water after she was caught snapping photos of Gruffudd during the proceedings.

Disruptive Behavior Leads to Courtroom Ejection

Evans, who was dressed entirely in black, was promptly escorted out of the courtroom for taking pictures of Gruffudd—a clear violation of court rules that could have led to a contempt charge.

The tension was palpable as the former couple sat on opposite sides, with Evans occasionally shooting icy glares at Gruffudd, who remained focused on the front of the room as they awaited the start of the hearing regarding child support for their two young daughters.

Unexpected Photo Op and Legal Repercussions

The situation escalated when Evans, while her and Gruffudd’s attorneys were in Judge Josh Freeman Stinn’s chambers, suddenly began taking photos of Gruffudd from a distance.

Not satisfied, she walked right up to him, continuing to snap pictures at close range.

Gruffudd, clad in a dark blue suit and sporting a mustache and goatee, looked taken aback by her actions.

A courtroom deputy, clearly startled, immediately intervened. “Stop that. Delete those.

I’m not asking you…I’m telling you,” he ordered Evans firmly.

After ensuring she deleted all the photos, the deputy stood watch over her in the corridor, reminding her of the court’s strict no-photo policy.

Evans was allowed back inside but was soon asked to leave again when the deputy saw her holding her phone, just to make sure she hadn’t taken any more unauthorized pictures.

Ongoing Legal Battle and Future Hearings

This incident is the latest development in the contentious three-year battle between Evans and Gruffudd.

Evans arrived in court in a black jacket, blouse, and pants, her blonde hair pulled back, but the anticipated face-to-face confrontation between Evans and Gruffudd’s new fiancée, Bianca Wallace, did not occur on Monday.

That meeting is now scheduled for February 13, when a full hearing will decide on spousal support and child support payments for their daughters, Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11.

Gruffudd plans to call Wallace as a witness against Evans at that hearing.

Temporary Support Agreements and Future Challenges

On Monday, Judge Stinn approved a temporary support arrangement: Gruffudd will pay $3,000 a month in child support and $1,500 a month in spousal support until February.

Judge Stinn also emphasized that Evans should make reasonable efforts to become self-sufficient, noting that this period is generally half the length of the marriage, which in their case is seven years.

Gruffudd’s attorney, Joseph Langlois, suggested that Evans should work harder to support herself.

Evans’s lawyer argued that caring for two children limits her employment opportunities.

Gruffudd has contested Evans’s claims for additional money, arguing that he has already paid significantly more in spousal support than required and criticizing her for alleged exaggerations about her financial situation.

Accusations and Counterclaims

Recent court documents reveal Gruffudd’s frustrations over Evans’s alleged misrepresentation of her income and spending habits.

He has accused her of undermining a court-ordered reunification therapy with their daughters and of engaging in harmful behavior towards him and his fiancée.

Gruffudd plans to present evidence of Evans’s violations of a domestic violence restraining order in court.

In response, Evans has accused Gruffudd of misrepresenting her financial state and causing financial hardship by cutting off access to their joint accounts and other resources.

She also claimed that he has neglected his responsibilities as a father and is using social media to propagate falsehoods about her.

Moving Forward

As the legal battles continue, both Evans and Gruffudd are preparing for the next phases of their contentious split.

Their story began on the set of 102 Dalmatians over 20 years ago, and their complicated separation continues to unfold in the public eye.
