The Ayamelum Constituency representative in the Anambra state House of Assembly, Udemezue Bernard Abuchi, was barred from entering the Assembly complex.
The reason cited was his mode of transportation: a tricycle often referred to as “Keke.”
Abuchi’s Reaction Captured Online
A trending video on the internet showcased Abuchi’s vocal displeasure over the decision to block his entry to the Assembly complex.
He loudly emphasized that he hadn’t been given a car yet.
Concurrently, a few women in the video commented that senators would be receiving cars soon, but tricycles were not permitted within the premises.
Social Media Reactions
The video stirred a variety of responses from the online community:
– 9jasingles_patner: “That is how it is done, one has to use any means to go work first before they give him a car.”
– ada_thefirst: “And see them shouting “very soon”.
As in it has become a norm now.
Use our taxes to buy them cars because we don’t like to see them in keke.”
