…By Dorcas Funmi for TDPel Media. President Bola Tinubu paid a visit to the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, at his palace in Ijebu Ode on Thursday.
The visit marked Tinubu’s first appearance in Ogun State since his inauguration as President on May 29.
Reception at the Palace
Upon arrival, President Tinubu was warmly received at the palace by Oba Adetona, the Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, and the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi.
Traditional rulers, as well as chiefs, were also present to welcome the President.
Dignitaries in Attendance
President Tinubu was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, and Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Dele Alake.
Their presence added to the significance of the visit.
Arrival and Inspection
President Tinubu arrived at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode around 10:56 am.
He was received by Governor Abiodun and proceeded to inspect the Military Guard of Honors before proceeding to Oba Adetona’s residence.
