Get ready, McDonald’s fans! Starting October 10, the fast-food giant will be rolling out the much-anticipated Chicken Big Mac.
This new addition is set to thrill fans who have been eagerly waiting for its arrival since it debuted on menus in other countries.
A Chicken Twist on a Classic Favorite
This innovative take on the classic Big Mac swaps the traditional beef patties for two tempura-battered chicken patties, making it a unique option for chicken lovers.
While the Chicken Big Mac will be available for a limited time only, its price is expected to hover around $5.50, although prices may vary depending on location.
The excitement around this chicken sandwich has been brewing for a while.
Rumors about its US launch began circulating back in August, after it enjoyed a steady presence in Europe for years.
A Nod to Tradition with a Modern Spin
Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s chief marketing and customer experience officer, expressed enthusiasm for this new menu item.
“With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we’re thrilled to pay tribute to one of our most iconic items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation,” he said.
He added that this campaign aims to connect with fans by embracing their interests, from the dupe culture to live streaming.
McDonald’s is all set to deliver surprises and delightful experiences leading up to the Chicken Big Mac’s official launch.
A Sneak Peek at McDonald’s Pop-Up Experience
Last weekend, McDonald’s created a buzz with a mysterious pop-up dining experience in Los Angeles, dubbed ‘McDonell’s,’ featuring “The Chicken Sandwich.”
Sharp-eyed fast food enthusiasts quickly identified it as a clever replica of the beloved Chicken Big Mac, complete with two chicken patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, and pickles on a sesame seed bun.
Adding to the excitement, popular streaming star Kai Cenat, a self-proclaimed Big Mac superfan, will be teaming up with McDonald’s to explore whether the Chicken Big Mac lives up to the original.
Fans can tune in to his livestream on McDonald’s social channels to see him and his celebrity friends taste the Chicken Big Mac and share their honest reactions.
More New Menu Items Coming Soon
The Chicken Big Mac isn’t the only new addition to McDonald’s menu this year.
Earlier in January, the Double Big Mac made a brief return, featuring four beef patties and extra sauce for around $7. This item was a hit during its month-long availability.
Looking ahead, McDonald’s is also preparing to introduce a new, larger burger called The Big Arch later this year, which is already available in Canada.
This burger will be the first new permanent worldwide menu item since Chicken McNuggets were launched in 1983.
The Big Arch will come stacked with two-thirds of the daily calorie intake recommended for adults—1,030 calories and 66g of fat—without including fries or a drink.
Breakfast Favorites Make a Comeback
Additionally, fan-favorite bagels are set to return to McDonald’s breakfast menu after a four-year hiatus.
Originally introduced in late 2019, bagels were removed during the pandemic as part of a menu simplification.
With all these exciting updates, fans are left wondering: what will McDonald’s surprise us with next?
