Eminem is stepping into a new chapter of life—he’s about to become a grandfather!
The 51-year-old rap icon shared some heartwarming news: his daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, 28, and her husband Evan McClintock, whom she married in May, are expecting their first child.
This joyful announcement was made in an unexpected way. Eminem included the news in the music video for his song “Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey.
In the video, fans can see him walking Hailie down the aisle and capturing the special moment when she revealed her pregnancy to him.
As the video unfolds, it’s a touching scene where Hailie gifts her dad a Detroit Lions jersey with “Grandpa” written on the back, alongside an ultrasound picture of her little one.
Seeing the ultrasound must have been a shock for the 15-time Grammy winner.
He could be seen in the video doing a double take, his expression a mix of disbelief and excitement, while Hailie giggled beside him.
A Wedding to Remember
This exciting milestone comes just five months after Hailie and Evan tied the knot in a sweet ceremony in Battle Creek, Michigan.
They celebrated their love surrounded by close family and friends at Greencrest Manor, which was described as a “modestly sized” affair by TMZ.
Hailie looked absolutely stunning in her beautiful white wedding dress, featuring a romantic tulle skirt and a sheer veil that complemented her elegant hairstyle.
The wedding was filled with love and joy, and photos captured a heartwarming moment of Hailie dancing with her father on a rose-infused dance floor, surrounded by their loved ones.
Hailie and Evan have been together since 2016, and their engagement was announced in February 2023.
Hailie shared a memorable photo on Instagram, showing Evan on one knee, with the caption, “Casual weekend recap… 2.4.23 I love you @evanmcclintock11.”
Hailie’s Life and New Adventures
As an influencer, Hailie has carved out her own niche.
She grew up in Detroit with her father, Eminem—whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III—and her mother, Kim Scott.
Hailie graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 2014 and later attended Michigan State University.
She has a close-knit family, including siblings Alaina Marie Mathers, Stevie Laine Mathers, and Parker Scott.
Recently, she opened up about her childhood experiences in her new podcast, “Just A Little Shady,” a nod to her father’s mischievous alter ego, Slim Shady.
In the inaugural episode, titled “It’s A Double Entendre,” Hailie reminisced about her “surreal” childhood alongside her best friend and co-host, Brittany Edni.
They shared lighthearted moments about growing up on a tour bus, laughing about how their unusual lifestyle felt completely normal at the time.
Reflecting on her upbringing, Hailie remarked, “It’s so fun to look back… as an adult, I think, ‘Wow, that’s so surreal.’ Those memories I thought were normal are now like, ‘Holy crap, that was cool.'”
Eminem’s Pride in His Daughter
Eminem has previously expressed pride in Hailie’s accomplishments.
During an interview on “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson” in March 2020, when asked about grandchildren, he jokingly responded, “No babies,” explaining that Hailie was doing well with just a boyfriend at the time.
He couldn’t hide his pride, adding that Hailie graduated from college with an impressive 3.9 GPA, having studied psychology at Michigan State University.
As Eminem prepares for this new role as a grandfather, fans are eager to see how this next chapter unfolds for him and his family. What a wonderful journey lies ahead!
