A fascinating new documentary is on the horizon that dives into the intriguing saga of a Manhattan housewife who claims she was abducted by a UFO back in the late 1980s.
Titled The Manhattan Alien Abduction, this docuseries centers around Linda Napolitano, who firmly believes she was taken from her bedroom in New York City on November 30, 1989.
The series aims to uncover the truth behind one of the UFO community’s biggest mysteries, featuring Napolitano herself, who initially went by the name Linda Cortile, as a key contributor to the film.
A Glimpse into the Trailer
Recently, a trailer for the docuseries was released, giving us a sneak peek into Linda’s extraordinary tale.
It includes interviews where Napolitano recounts the life-altering events of that fateful night, along with archival footage from the years that followed her alleged extraterrestrial encounter.
In the trailer, Napolitano states, “They saw me hanging from my window,” as the visuals shift between the Brooklyn Bridge and dramatic reenactments of a woman in a white nightgown levitating above a Manhattan apartment building.
Another voice chimes in, saying, “I don’t know why they’re keeping it from the public, but we’re not alone,” while someone else labels it as “the greatest abduction case in the world,” claiming there were “23 witnesses.”
Ongoing Debate and Research
Even today, Napolitano’s story stirs up controversy online, with many questioning its validity and the evidence supporting her claims.
Renowned abduction researcher Budd Hopkins took a keen interest in her case, conducting an extensive investigation starting in February 1991.
Accompanied by his then-wife, Carol Rainey, he found Napolitano’s account to be quite credible.
However, skepticism persists; one woman commented that “she was pulling the wool over Budd’s eyes,” while others suggested that psychological factors might be at play.
Delving Deeper into the Experience
The trailer also features scenes of Hopkins using various techniques, like hypnosis, to help Napolitano dig deeper into her memories of that night.
According to a 1994 UPI article, she described an encounter with a “grey biped” during the early hours of November 30, 1989.
She claims a blue beam levitated her through the window of her 12th-floor apartment.
The article mentioned that Hopkins had received a letter from two security agents, Richard and Dan, who reported seeing a figure floating in the night sky.
They expressed regret for not revealing their sighting sooner, claiming they saw three “strange figures” and a “young woman in a white gown” being taken through an apartment window and into a UFO.
Speculation and Theories
As reported by HiggyPop, a website focusing on paranormal stories, some have speculated that the political figure the agents were protecting may have been Javier Perez de Cuéllar, who served as the Secretary-General of the United Nations at that time.
However, Cuéllar has never confirmed any involvement in this strange affair.
The Manhattan Alien Abduction is set to stream on Netflix starting October 30.
