SuperSport United Bolsters Defensive Lineup with Signing of TS Galaxy Defender Pogiso Sanoka for 2024/25 DStv Premiership Season

SuperSport United has secured a major boost for the upcoming 2024/25 DStv Premiership season with the acquisition of TS Galaxy defender, Pogiso Sanoka.

Last season, Sanoka stood out as one of TS Galaxy’s key players, contributing significantly to their sixth-place finish in the league standings.

The Rockets’ campaign saw them clinch victory in 12 league matches, draw in eight, and face defeat 10 times out of 30 games, amassing a total of 44 points and securing a coveted top-eight spot.

TS Galaxy came tantalizingly close to clinching a domestic trophy, reaching the final of the inaugural Carling Knockout Cup.

Despite their efforts, they narrowly lost out to Stellenbosch FC in a gripping penalty shootout, ending their hopes of silverware in December 2023.

SuperSport United has moved swiftly to bolster their defensive lineup ahead of the new season by signing Pogiso Sanoka.

The seasoned centre-back’s arrival comes as Matsatsantsa bid farewell to Siyanda Xulu and Keegan Allan.

Siyanda Xulu, who joined on a free transfer for the previous season, and Keegan Allan, who departed after a brief six-month stint, are notable departures from the club.

Allan had joined during the January 2024 transfer window, leaving Moroka Swallows, who subsequently sold their top-flight status to Marumo Gallants due to financial constraints.

SuperSport United confirmed that Pogiso Sanoka has signed a two-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional year.

The 32-year-old utility player featured in 36 appearances across various competitions for TS Galaxy under the guidance of head coach Sead Ramovic.
